The qfe was at the core of most of the applications we development at Quantum. I developed the qfe libraries and the related development tools so that we could build functionality rapidly without losing any flexibility or effeciency. Frameworks are great until you need to do something unanticipated by the framework designer, then you can end up building convoluted structures just to get around the framework. The qfe was designed to give us the development speed and reliability of a well tested framework while also allowing us to innovate without constraint.
